What brought you to work at Apex?
The people, work environment and opportunity for advancement were the key factors that influenced my decision to work for Apex. When I interviewed with the company, I found everyone I met to be bright and energetic. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that everyone is able to determine their own schedule, including holidays and vacation days. This was one of the deciding factors in my decision as it shows that the company is progressive and very family friendly.

What are your favorite things about working at Apex?
Variety and my coworkers – I’m in the marketing department and we work like an agency for all of the divisions within Apex. Therefore, I get to work on a large variety of projects. It’s nice to be able to interact with almost everyone in the company and it keeps my job interesting.

What kinds of projects and teams do you get to work on?
The marketing department is responsible for quite a few things. We manage the Apex website, coordinate our tradeshow participation, create and place advertising, manage company webinars and develop the company collateral which includes brochures, white papers, press releases and PowerPoint presentations. This gives us the opportunity to work with many teams – both within the company and with outside vendors.

Tell us about your work area?
I share an office with my boss and thankfully we get along very well! We just recently moved into a new office space which is very modern. The company facilities are on the cutting edge of technology – we have several conference rooms which are equipped with video conferencing capabilities and the latest technology which are all integrated and can be run from one main touch-screen controller.

What have been your experiences to learn and grow at Apex?
I’ve learned quite a bit from my coworkers. Apex has an ‘open door’ policy that encourages everyone to share ideas across all departments. This interaction facilitates open discussion and allows people to learn from one another.
