Our approach to digitization
Historical newspapers present unique digitization challenges in how information is captured and corrected, as well as in the creation of useful interfaces for research. A company founded by visionary process engineers, we have created a technically advanced, yet flexible solution, which ameliorates many of these challenges. More specifically, Apex has combined the processing power of the computer with the cognitive power of the human mind to create a revolutionary digitization technology called IZAAC^®.

To ensure the quality of digitized data, Apex developed ProQual^™, our web-based Quality Assurance tool. Using ISO-2859-1 sampling standards (Terms, Symbols and Definitions for Acceptance Sampling), ProQual provides a framework for the scrutiny of digitized sample batches. Apex clients can review and approve data online without having to wait for the delivery of physical samples, or the loading of data into a database.
