Apex CoVantage is looking for a hands-on Field Supervisor to oversee our AMI metering installations in the Green Mountain Power service territories. Job Responsibilities
Directly report to the AMI Installation Project Manager.
Work with Project Manager to set goals and meet meter installation productivity requirements.
Responsible for directing in-field meter installation resources and subcontractors.
Responsible for performing the required safety sessions, PPE and Vehicle inspections prior to work and in field, and ensuring project resources follow the required safety practices, processes, and handheld device procedures.
Must be familiar with the entire scope and requirements of projects and services.
Will liaise directly with client, Apex Management, Apex IT Staff, and Apex Sale Staff when required.
Communicate to the Customer, Executive Leadership Team status and issues related to Program.
Meet the public and maintain good customer relations, and answer customers' questions about the service being provided or directing them to the customer service center.
Perform in-field quality audits of meter installation and electrical repair work.
Able to navigate using GPS or paper maps as needed.
Required to be in-field supporting meter installation resources and subcontractors up to 90%; duties will include in-field quality, work observation, and directing field staff and resources.
Performance Criteria
You will be expected to train, develop, mentor and provide feedback to installers. You will perform field visits to ensure adherence to Apex Co Vantage policies and procedures. All must be performed while maintaining and presenting a professional and customer friendly interaction with all customers.
Required Education & Experience
Must be able to pass company training certifications and meter reading test.
Must have valid Driver's License.
Must be detail oriented, have good verbal skills and a neat/clean appearance.
Must be comfortable interacting with customers and quality oriented.
Self-motivated, ability to work with little supervision
Must have the ability to travel extensively to job assignments in Vermont.
Must have high degree of integrity
Experience in working with and troubleshooting handheld electronic devices or cell phones.
Experience with large scale meter deployment projects or managing/ coordinating meter installation contractors.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Automated Meter Infrastructure (AMI) knowledge.
Knowledge of the principles of electricity, electrical metering, to include; single, poly and CT metering.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and precautions.
Regularly be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
College degree or equivalent work experience.
2 - 3 years of field supervision experience
Complete training will be provided, but some basic understanding of field equipment installs is a plus
