Manage field projects for replacing residential and commercial meters for electric utility companies in California. The AMI Project Manager reports to the Director of Operations and has responsibility for all field aspects of a project including installation, warehousing, safety and training. The AMI Project Manager will also be responsible for interfacing with the client’s project team and managing subcontractors.
The ideal candidate will have had experience in managing meter replacement projects for electric utility companies and possess a valid California C-10 electrical contractor license.
Job Responsibilities
Ensuring on-time and on-budget execution of projects, with high customer satisfaction
Managing the project team (Field, Warehouse, Safety/Quality Supervisors)
Managing subcontractors, including schedule, cost and quality
Liaising with client, defining/managing/prioritizing scope and schedule
Writing change orders, SOWs and other project documentation (as applicable)
Performing safety and quality audits
Issue Management and Escalation
Timely status reporting

Must be a self-starter and require minimal direction from the Director of Operations.
Manage multiple simultaneous activities with the ability to prioritize based on business objectives
Must be able to travel as required
Must be familiar with the entire scope, schedule and other project requirements
Ability to develop project budgets and schedules
Required Qualifications
Possess a valid California C-10 electrical contractor license
College degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience managing electric field projects
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, Outlook, and Visio)
Knowledge of Automated Meter Infrastructure (AMI)
Other Credentials
Knowledge of the principles of electricity, electrical metering, and electric service requirements a plus
Knowledge of safety regulations and precautions
Knowledge in working with CIS data and routing a plus
